Booking a photographer can often be a daunting task. Not only are there a million options, but being in front of a camera tends to bring our biggest insecurities to the surface--at least in our heads.

The most common thing I hear from my clients is, "We've never had professional photos done, and we don't know how to be in front of a camera." But if you take a look at my portfolio, you would never think, "wow, these people really don't know how to take photos."

Because your only job is to show up and be yourself. It's my job to make you look as if you're in your own movie, and truly capture your essence.

Below, you'll find the answers to some of my most commonly asked questions, including what to do if you're nervous about your session.

Are other packages available besides the ones you have listed on your Investment page?

100%! I love all kinds of photography, and making people's vision come to life. I am more than open to working with you on any kind of session (elopements, family, motherhood, senior, friendship, maternity, etc.). Let's chat!

What kinds of photography services do you offer?

I offer both digital and film photography services. My husband, Ben, also provides Super 8mm coverage!

I love getting prints made for my clients, so if that's something you're interested in, be sure to let me know upon booking!

Can I order prints or albums through you?

Yes! I have an online shop set up, which you can access through your gallery.

How many photos will I receive from a session?

You can expect to receive around 150 edited images for an hour long session, and 200 for a 2 hour long session. You'll be able to access ALL of these photos at no additional cost post session via a gallery link, where you can download immediately.

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

For sessions, I give photos back in 4-6 weeks. For weddings, you can expect your final gallery within 8-10!

What do I do if I'm awkward in front of the camera?

First off--don't worry! Most people are not used to having their photo taken. I always start people off with easy, simple poses that I know they've done before and ease into more fun ones as the session goes on. You'll be moving a lot, which helps get the candid shots everyone wants, without the pressure to pose perfectly. It's my job to make you look like a model, not yours!

What do I wear & what can I bring?

I always recommend clients stick to 3 colors maximum per outfit. If you're a couple, try to wear only 3 colors between the two of you. This helps the photos look more cohesive and thought out. Patterns are great, but only as accents! For example, if one person is wearing gingham, the other should avoid plaids or florals. Of course, patterns can be mixed well, but this is a general rule of thumb!

As for props, bring them all! I love to have items in my shoots to tell a story, and I find that it makes you more comfortable if you have something to hold/do.

Do yu have a second photographer for weddings?

Yes! My husband acts as a second lead photographer on wedding days.
